Just a few days ago I attended a webinar by the brilliant Chris Farrell on how to use Powerpoint. The webinars will be broken up into 3 parts and spread out over the next few weeks.

Now Chris’ intention of these webinars is to teach anyone how to create a powerpoint presentation which can then be used to create a very professional looking video to be used for marketing purposes.  He begins in part one with the basic usage of Powerpoint (creating slides, using animation, custom animation and the various transitions) and will then in the later webinars he will move on to how to record your completed presentation, ready to present it to the world wide web!!

Now in the past I have actually used Powerpoint to create a number of presentations and had infact converted them to video and used them to help drive traffic to my site,  but I must say that I had never fully understood or used everything Powerpoint has to offer. Basically the only way to get to grips with it,  is just to mess around and see what you can achieve….. lots of fun !!

With my  curiosity with Powerpoint now renewed, I decided to do a little research and came across a few videos on YouTube that actually provided the information of “how to”  insert/embed a YouTube video into your Powerpoint presentation. 

 This actually triggered two thoughts in me……..

1.  What a great function (to have a video within your video presentation)

2. I have never yet narrated on any of my videos,  let alone create a “How To” video …..so how hard can it be?

So I decided to ‘bite the bullet’  as they say and just go for it and hoped for the best, and so created my very first “How To” video with the subject of  How To Insert a YouTube Video Into A Powerpoint Presentation.

And here is the result of my efforts….

Well I ‘ve been neglecting my blog for a short while, it’s so easy to get side tracked or even get writers block lol!! But I’m back if only with a short post.

I personally love all the creative side of this business and I’m sometimes happiest when finding a new toy (software) to play with and just mess around to see what I can create.  So tonight a little night off to enjoy letting that creative side surface again…it’s been a while and I have created my very first flash banner.  Oh my goodness a crude start but hey not bad lol!!
